With the daily demands of life, we often over complicate such simple tasks. We tend to forget about our minds and concentrate on our physical needs, they need to be in unison, and the physical will not work without a healthy mind and vice versa.

Hypno-psychotherapy is a powerful tool, it can be applied to modify behaviour, attitudes and emotions, as well as manage pain, anxiety, stress related illnesses, dysfunctional habits, aswell as promoting personal development.

Many issues manifest themselves physically within the body, hypno-psychotherapy can add more tools to your box and teach you techniques to alleviate your symptoms.

Before entering into therapy with Becky an initial consultation which usually takes around 1–1/2hrs takes place to ensure that the client is happy to proceed working with Becky. Becky will always tailor the therapy to her client’s individual needs and will only proceed once the client has agreed and is completely comfortable with the therapeutic plan.

Ray Fielding - Physiotherapy

I always wanted to be a physiotherapist. It took me a few years and a round-about route to become one but I really do think it is a wonderful job. Being able to help people diagnose and treat their conditions is a true privilege.

Since childhood I have been fascinated by how things work and how they can be “fixed”. My first career in Software Development allowed me to develop my problem solving skills and I enjoyed the challenges the field brought, however I never shook the desire to work with people. I knew it was time to retrain after my own personal experience of being a physiotherapy patient. I tore my Anterior Cruciate Ligament whilst playing football and the physiotherapy team that helped me rehabilitate showed such support, passion and insight that they picked me up from a personal low point and returned me to a higher playing standard than I have ever achieved previously. I wanted to be able to provide that to others.

Having a background in IT I have always loved the very latest technology and the constant evolution and search for improvement is an aspect of physiotherapy that very much appeals. Research and literature is continually being produced helping us understand and better treat all musculoskeletal conditions. Keeping up to date with the latest evidence and treatment methods is something that I feel quite passionate about. It is something that is fundamental and all modern clinicians should be proactive in. Never before have we understood more about the human body and it’s workings but there is still so very much more to learn. Being inquisitive and always seeking better ways to do things are traits I try to promote and working for Stroud Sports Clinic Ltd provides the perfect environment. The team strive to provide the very best possible service to our clients and are always open to new treatment methods and therapeutic modalities. Personally I enjoy being able to utilise the very latest evidence and I am always searching for ways to improve my practice.

I trained as a physiotherapist at Kings College London and have practiced both within the NHS and the private sector specialising in musculoskeletal conditions. Through my training and clinical experience I have developed a strong belief that an individual’s quality of life is intrinsically linked to physical and mental activity. For treatment to be its most effective there must be a relationship of trust and understanding. I try to ensure that my practice is as informative and fun as I can make it. Explaining what has happened and why the treatment methods we are using will work are key elements in the rehabilitation process. Coupling understanding with creative, fun and most of all effective treatment is my primary focus. Using a variety of modalities including Pilates, sports specific exercise and manual techniques enables us to keep treatment sessions varied and challenging to help achieve our goals.

Stephen Ryder - Physiotherapy

Ever since I was a young lad, I had been fascinated with how the body works and anatomy. 6 years ago I decided that physiotherapy was what I wanted to do. I set out to get myself a degree and qualified at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2013. Having covered all aspects of physiotherapy I decided that helping people through sport and day to day related injuries was for me. I love all aspects of Musculoskeletal work and take great pride in seeing people return to their full potential.

I am very fortunate to have been a part of a medical team for the last Football World Cup, working along side some of the very best in Sports Medicine…

I have recently moved back to The Gloucestershire area and am keen to use my experience to help the local community and continue to learn and develop as a physiotherapist. I have completed training in management of pain with acupuncture and am keen to complete the orthopaedic medicine course.

I am a keen golfer and footballer and eager to get involved with local sports teams and individuals to manage any sport related injuries so as not to disrupt their love for sport.

Ed Ballinger - Chiropractor

Growing up I've always been sport mad and thought I would go on to play football professionally. Lots of injuries held me back and I decided to go to university to study to become a Chiropractor. If I couldn't play, then I could still be involved in a different capacity.

I qualified as a Chiropractor from the Welsh institute of Chiropractic and have since been loving being involved in the health profession. I decided to setup my own Chiropractic clinic in 2015 and haven't looked back since. I've always said that I strive to work with the best and am really excited to be affiliated with Jason at the Stroud Sports Clinic.

Since setting up my own clinic, I have developed a new found interest in going to the gym. I have been playing around with my diet and different training programmes. This decision progressed to competing in a Miami Pro Fitness Model show in April 2015. I was very excited to do the same show in March 2016 making the necessary improvements. It's great to be able to combine the health and fitness industries together, thus enabling me to treat others with the same passion.
